This Project consists of the Design and Construction of a new Bus Hub and Train Station along Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor and the MBTA’s Providence Commuter Rail Line, and a Transit Emphasis Corridor through Pawtucket. The Transit Emphasis Corridor work includes bus and bicycle lanes, along with sheltered bus stops along the corridor between Pine Street and Roosevelt Avenue along Goff Avenue and Exchange Street. Construction of the new station includes electrical, lighting, mechanical, fire alarm and communications systems. Platform amenities include static signage, passenger information displays tied to the MBTA communication system, a CCTV system, LED lighting tied to an Uninterruptable Power Source, potable water, ‘Blue-Light’ style two-way communication phones, benches and trash receptacles.
