Track work included modifications to the traction power system, installation of new direct fixation track tied into the ballasted track work, construction of a 700lf cast-in-place concrete viaduct to carry the high-speed trolley over the active transit tracks, and a new Overhead “Catenary” Contact System was installed in conjunction with the viaduct construction. The work included the complete reconstruction of the loop track viaduct.
