Barletta is the Managing Partner of this Joint Venture Partner with O&G Industries, Inc. and Aetna Bridge with VHB as our Lead Designer for this Design-Build Project. This project completely reconstructs the highway interchange and will allow travelers to change from one interstate highway to another while traveling at typical highway speeds. The original interchange was constructed around a legacy barrier cash toll system. MassDOT’s adaptation of all electronic tolling allows this interchange to be completely reconfigured allowing for free-flowing traffic from one interstate highway to another. This project contains 13 bridges and 37 retaining walls in total. To date, there are more than 44,500 CY of Concrete, over 6 million pounds of Reinforcing Steel, more than 16.5 million pounds of Structural Steel, over 185,000 tons of pavement, and more than 330,000 CY of Excavation on site.
