This project was a combination of two contracts; the Central Artery Tunnel Project’s Contract C08A1 and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s (MBTA) Contract S12CN01. As a part of the overall project, East Boston’s Memorial Stadium Park underwent extensive renovations, linking it to the station by a newly landscaped plaza and pedestrian footbridge crossing the railroad tracks. A new park was built on Bremen Street. The new park provided the neighborhood with significant green space, and includes landscaped walkways, and an amphitheater.
