Armenian Heritage Park Project

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Contract: MassDOT
Contract Value: $2,600,000.00
Project Dates: Spring 2010 - 2012

Armenian Heritage Park is located between Faneuil Hall / Quincy Marketplace and Christopher Columbus Park on the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway in Boston.  It is a short walk to the North End and Boston’s Wharf District on the Waterfront.

The half-acre pedestrian park consists of an abstract sculpture and reflecting pool and a labyrinth – a circular winding granite path within a lawn, centered on a water jet.  The park is surrounded by seating, brick and cobblestone paving, lighting and landscaping.

An irrigation system was installed to provide for the lawn, 400 trees and shrubs and 5,000 perennials that were planted.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the park was held on September 9, 2010, construction began in the spring of 2011 and the Park was opened on May 22, 2012.
